The China and Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) free trade area is expected to be launched by this year.
The free trade area will include China, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam with the new ASEAN members Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar and Vietnam to be given an additional transitional period of five years.
