Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (Dewa) is extending the bid deadline for the power package of its planned Hassyan power and water plant near Jebel Ali.
The authority originally invited contractors to bid for the contract by 8 September, but Dewa has pushed the date back to 8 Nov-ember following requests for an extension from potential bidders.
Bidders had hoped the deadlines for associated packages would also be delayed, but Dewa has kept the 8 September deadline for the desalination package and the 13 September deadline for bids for a contract to build a seawater intake and outfall system.
