Tight credit markets and the ongoing recession and corresponding lag in consumer spending have put a double-whammy on the nonresidential construction sector. However, while the industry continues to shed jobs and tries to hold on until full recovery is reached, there have been some positive signs of late, especially in the areas of consumer confidence and credit.
