BRENTWOOD, Tenn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 4, 1998--Home health care leader American HomePatient, Inc. (Nasdaq: AHOM) today announced a joint venture agreement with MHR Home Care, a provider-owned company, offering home respiratory, home medical equipment and home care network services throughout Nebraska and Iowa.
The agreement is one of the largest joint ventures in American HomePatient history and involves 11 hospitals with a combined total of more than 1,800 beds. American HomePatient will be the managing partner of the joint venture and will provide home infusion, home respiratory and home medical equipment services for the hospital system.
