HIGH POINT -- When the upholstery industry starts to rebound, the fabric supply chain will be ready.
That's the conclusion of a cross-section of fabric mill executives, who said they may face some issues but none so severe that a strong recovery can't overcome them.
Predictions may be easy to make because nobody believes that business will come roaring back before suppliers can gear up to meet demand. Although there's been a slight uptick in upholstery sales over the past few months, it's nothing to get excited about. And manufacturers and suppliers alike believe it's going to be a long, gradual climb before business really begins ...
