Although Fred Coe might not be a household name among many of today's television viewers, almost everyone interested in the medium's early years is acquainted with the legendary producer of some of early television's finest works. Coe's credits from that era include masterminding such memorable series as the renowned dramatic anthology Philco-Goodyear Television Playhouse and the successful sitcom Mr. Peepers, as well as producing The Days of Wine and Roses for CBS's Playhouse 90 and the classic 1955 television version of Peter Pan, with Mary Martin in the title role, for NBC's Producers Showcase.
