Renaissance Venture fund to invest $4M in RPM
The Detroit Renaissance Venture Capital Fund is expected to announce this week the third investment from its $40 million fund, $4 million for Ann Arbor-based RPM Ventures L.L.C.
RPM was founded in 2000 as Waypoint Ventures L.L.C. but changed its name in 2006 to reflect its focus, which is on funding software companies whose technologies bring efficiencies to old-line companies such as auto and chemical manufacturers, auto suppliers and auto dealers.
It was co-founded by Tony Grover and Marc Weiser, a member of Crain's 40 under 40 class of 2006.
