Earlier this year, Walter
Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC), Washington, D.C., hosted another in an ongoing series of successful "State of the Science" workshops. Through the support of the Human Engineering Research Laboratories (HERL) of the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System and the University of Pittsburgh, and Paralyzed Veterans of America (PVA), these workshops have been going on for more than four years.
Approximately 150 physicians, therapists, counselors, social workers, and rehabilitation engineers attended the event to learn more about the area of activity-based rehabilitation. They heard talks on the application of the latest strategies in ...
