The frozen fruits and vegetables section has become a go-to destination in the supermarket the past several years and the renewed attention to these frozen categories has come in three waves.

The first wave was spurred by new frozen fruit products that were introduced at the same time the drumbeat for consumers to eat healthier was intensifying. Various fruit and berry blends in new packaging with bold, bright graphics helped bring further attention to the category.
