Fifty years ago, Joe "Big Daddy" Flanigan started a chain of liquor stores and lounges that has morphed into a South Florida favorite. Flanigan's Enterprises, Inc., which operates 22 Flanigan's restaurants and 13 Big Daddy's package stores, will celebrate their 50th Anniversary with two independent promotions.
Flanigan's restaurants will celebrate in late August with over $50,000 in cash and prizes in a promotion called, "Jimmy Flanigan and the Anniversary Express". Jimmy, the youngest son of the late founder, will travel to each of the 22 locations on the Flanigan's Limo Bus, with an entourage that will have thousands of T-shirts and other giveaways.
