Caraustar Industries, Inc. announced that it will increase prices by $40 per ton on all recycled paperboard grades produced by its mills, effective with shipments on and after August 24, 2009.
Greg A. Bartlett, vice president sales and marketing for Caraustar's Mill Group, stated, "This price increase is necessary due to the upward movement in recovered fiber costs during 2009 and recent increases in other input costs. Our mills are operating at high utilization rates due to increased demand. We continue to invest in our mills and are committed to being the first choice for recycled paperboard."
