The mayor of Chilean capital Santiago's Providencia district, Cristian Labbe, has called on the state to subsidize the road mitigation works required to conclude the Costanera Center real estate initiative, paper Diario Financiero reported.
"We have always thought the state must facilitate investment... the state must subsidize mitigation works and help boost investment," said Labbe.
Costanera Center is a US$600mn project led by local investment holding Cencosud. It consists of building the Southern Cone's highest building with office space, a mall and hotel facilities, as well as 5,695 parking spaces.
