PRINCETON, N.J.--(BW HealthWire)--May 14, 1998--Palatin Technologies Inc. (Nasdaq: PLTN) Thursday announced that it has finalized a license that grants it the exclusive rights to develop, obtain FDA approval and market worldwide a patented peptide analogue of a hormone for the diagnosis and treatment of male erectile dysfunction.
The compound, PT-14, finished double-blind clinical trials at the University of Arizona with the result that 80 percent of men achieved clinically significant erectile response when it was administered.
