Ohio is Fourth State With 'Internet Buy' Option on Company's Web Site
MAYFIELD VILLAGE, Ohio, May 14 /PRNewswire/ -- Beginning today, Ohio consumers have the option to buy their auto insurance instantly over the Internet at Cleveland-based Progressive's Web site, http://www.progressive.com. Progressive is one of the largest auto insurers in the state and in the nation.
Progressive was the first major auto insurer to offer real-time sales of auto insurance policies over the Internet when it introduced its "buy" option to Minnesota consumers in August 1997. The feature is also available in Virginia and was introduced in California a month ago.
