MIDLAND-based Hampson Industries has sold off its aerospace machining arm to a private equity firm for pounds 23.7 million, it was revealed today.
The global group, which has its headquarters in Brierley Hill, announced that Hampson Aerospace Machining Ltd had been purchased by a portfolio company of Darwin Private Equity LLP.
The principal activities of HAML, which operates from three facilities in the UK, comprise the precision machining of metallic components for gas turbine engines and similar applications.
