LATER this year, Saudi Arabia will celebrate the centenary -- according to the Islamic calendar -- of Ibn Saud's capture of Riyadh. The occasion will be marked by the inauguration in the capital of a major construction project, described by the developer as "the most important urban and architectural addition to the city since Qasr al-Hukm".
Managed by the Arriyadh Development Authority (ADA) and paid for with $160 million of public money, the King Abdulaziz Historical Centre is conceived on a grand scale.
