Article: Taiwanese passive component suppliers see turnaround in Q2.

Taipei, July 29, 2009 (CENS) -- With strong consumer demand for mobile phones, notebook PCs and LCD (liquid crystal display) TVs helping to drive up capacity utilization rates to around 70%, Taiwanese passive components makers have generally enjoyed a turnaround in business operations in the second quarter of this year.

One example is Holy Stone Enterprise Co., Ltd., a MLCC (multi layer ceramic capacitor) supplier, who scored sales revenue of NT$3.059 billion (US$93.63 million at US$1: NT$32.67) for the second quarter, still 5.86% less than a year earlier but sharply up 38.16% from a quarter earlier.
