The chairman of Daimler AG, the founder of Tesla Motors, the supreme commander of Virgin Galactic and the president of Algeria all are partnered with Aabar Investments, the state-owned investment arm of the Abu Dhabi government.
Aabar, which owns 9 percent of Daimler, 4 percent of Tesla and 32 percent of Virgin Galactic, said it has put together a partnership with Daimler and four other German heavy machinery companies to build trucks and all-terrain vehicles in Algeria. The partners include MAN Ferrostaal, Deutz, MTU and Rheinmetall.
