The Arizona Department of Transportation awarded more than $17 million in contracts Friday for road projects funded by the federal stimulus package known as the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.
The largest contract awarded was for widening U.S. 95 in Yuma County. The nearly $9 million project was awarded to Royden Construction Co. of Phoenix.
Other contracts awarded Friday:
Widening of Grand Avenue between 83rd and 99th Avenue; awarded to Pulice Construction Co., Phoenix; $6.5 million
