Since Felix Mendelssohn was one of the greatest musical child prodigies of all time and since his music is infused with so much youthful vigor, it is difficult to believe that he would be 200 years old this year.
The Skaneateles Festival program selections this week celebrate this magnificent composer's birthday by inviting some of his musical friends to the party: Bach, Handel, Haydn, Mozart and Gade.
