Boston-area Christian clergy, including vocal critics of Israel, toured the Jewish state this summer on a trip subsidized by Combined Jewish Philanthropies. For many of the Christian clergy, this was their first time in Israel.
The nine-day seminar aimed "to introduce non-Jewish community leaders to Israel, to the challenges she faces and the miracle that she exists after 61 years, and the neighbors that want to destroy her," said Nancy Kaufman, executive director of JCRC.
