Article: Taiwan's WiMAX device makers' output value to surge 11.4%.(Brief article)

Taipei, July 30, 2009 (CENS)--Despite production value of Taiwan's wireless network device industry to drop 14.4% annually to about NT$106.2 billion (US$3.25 billion at US$1: NT$32.67) this year, that of the WiMAX (worldwide interoperability for microwave access) device sector is still expected to rise 11.4%, according to the MIC (Market Intelligence & Consulting Institute).

MIC noted that regional, small-sized WiMAX network operators worldwide, especially ones in emerging markets, will gradually place orders to Taiwanese suppliers for network devices in the second half of this year.
