JERUSALEM -- Teva Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Nasdaq: TEVA) announced today that the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey has issued a decision in its litigation over the Company's Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) to market its generic version of Merck's Singulair[R] (Montelukast Sodium) Tablets, holding that U.S. Patent No. 5,565,473 is valid and enforceable. Teva is currently reviewing the Court's decision to determine its next course of action.
