NEW YORK -- This time, fur makers aren't leaving anything to chance.
Suffering from El Ninoitis, and having figured out that warm, wet weather hasn't hurt sales of fashion furs as much as those of traditional coats, vendors are tearing into market week with looks that seem to cover everything but full-length minks.
Furriers have been promoting ready-to-wear-inspired looks and designer labels over the past several years to help promote the industry and build up sales. Fur Fashion Week has been the major venue American fur companies use to promote editorial coverage of their lines.
