WINNIPEG, MB, Aug 19, 2009 (Resource News International via COMTEX) -- The Toronto Stock Exchange (TSX)closed slightly higher on Wednesday, in volatile trade. Investors were still showing some uncertainty about the economic recovery.
The TSX composite index increased by 12.99 points or 0.12% to close at 10,686.83 on Wednesday. Trading volumes totaled 428.40 million shares, up from 386.10 million on Tuesday. Advances beat declines 753 to 743.
