African governments should surrender their airports to private investors to make them more efficient and attractive for international travellers, Works and Transport Minister John Nasasira has suggested.
"There is a growing conviction that airports can and should operate as a business," Mr Nasasira said yesterday, at the opening of an International Civil Aviation meeting in Kampala. The meeting has brought together about 200 civil aviation and airport navigation experts from around the world.
