Local transport firm Agencias Universales (Agunsa) presented the lowest offer in the tender to concession southern Chile's Carlos Ibanez del Campo airport in Punta Arenas, the public works ministry (MOP) reported in a release.

The firm offered to invest UF 175,990 (inflation-linked units, US$6.68mn) to carry out expansion and improvement works on the terminal.

"We received extremely competitive offers which shows the firms' interest in participating and developing the project," said MOP's concessions coordinator Ricardo Trincado.
