Article: Ink Jet Printing Offers Huge Market For Colorants Manufacturers.

Colorants producers face a number of challenges if they are to realize the full potential of the ink jet printing market, Cabot Corporation's ink jet colorants marketing manager Gregg Smith told a meeting held by the Chemical Management & Resources Association in New York last week.

Printing is divided into two classes of technologies--analog and digital, the latter of which is taking market share from the former as computer printing technology improves. The digital imaging segment, in turn, is split into electrophotography and ink let technologies.
