Warwick Castle Britain's finest medieval castle is a great day out with a history lesson cleverly disguised as entertainment. The summer show programme starts with the raising of the portcullis at 10.30am and runs through to the trebuchet fireball show at 5pm - with jousting, jesters and eagle displays along the way. Take a tour of the castle's grand interiors and the new Castle Dungeon, where you'll be taken back to 1345 and decaying bodies, chanting monks, torture and execution. The kids will think twice about misbehaving after a trip round there... for a day or so at least.
