AURORA, Colo., Aug. 21 (AScribe Newswire) -- Researchers at the University of Colorado Denver's School of Medicine have announced a new way to convert human skin cells to stem cells. In late 2007, a Japanese team reported that they had inserted four human genes into ordinary human skin cells and reprogrammed those cells into stem cells - cells possessing the same properties as embryonic stem cells, that could then become almost any other cell in the body.
