A 55-YEAR-OLD mother is believed to have died after contracting the swine flu virus.
The Echo understands that the woman, who lives in the Caerphilly area, fell ill earlier this month but died at the weekend.
Her death has been linked to swine flu but the Echo understands the virus was not the direct cause of her death.
Officials have yet to confirm the circumstances surrounding Wales' first swine flu-related death.
