20 August 2009 - Danish industrial conglomerate A/S Schouw & Co (CPH: SCHO) saw its revenue and profit plunge in the second quarter of 2009, and lowered its full-year forecast.

Schouw & Co's net profit fell to DKK291.9m in January-June 2009 from DKK469.6m a year earlier and the pretax profit nearly halved to DKK256m, the conglomerate said in its interim report, published today.

Revenues dropped 13.1% to DKK3.772bn and EBIT shrank to DKK11.9m from DKK150m.
