HUNTSVILLE, Texas _ You can't judge a book by its cover, but can you judge a man by the books he gives to his female friends?
This is a question raised by accounts that President Clinton gave former White House intern Monica Lewinsky a copy of Walt Whitman's ``Leaves of Grass'' as a gift and that he gave the collection of verse to Hillary when they were courting.
Anyone familiar with ``Leaves of Grass'' can understand why the president might deploy it in his romantic intrigues.
