Chilean industrial conglomerate Empresas Quinenco has contracted JP Morgan to explore the possibility of incorporating a strategic investor for telco Telefonica del Sur (Telsur), which is 74.4% controlled by Quinenco, the parent company said in a note to securities regulator SVS.
Quinenco published the note to confirm a local press report on the issue on Tuesday.
While preliminary conversations have begun, no negotiations have yet started, Quinenco said.
