The construction of the much-awaited food plaza has finally kicked-off at the railway station. After the plaza comes up, passengers would be able to savour all kinds of food varieties here.
The authorities have already opened such plazas at railway stations in Amritsar and Jammu. It has been almost a year since an announcement was made in this connection.
Sources revealed that railway authorities have signed a deal for Rs 40 lakh and a private company would run the food plaza for nine years. The move has been initiated to improve upon the food quality and provide all types of food items to passengers.
