DIAMOND Trust Bank has commenced expansion of its branch network in Burundi. They are also planning to extend to other parts of Eastern and Southern Africa over the next three years. The Bank's Chief Executive, Varghese Thambi disclosed this on Tuesday while announcing the opening of five new braches.
Thambi said in the financial year ending December 2008, the bank's customer deposits increased from sh54b in 2007 to sh119b. The loan book went up from sh37b to sh76b".
