Anyone who has been to Egypt will probably have eaten kushari, a mixture of rice, pasta, chickpeas and lentils.
"It's typical of the local cuisine. It can be found on every street in Cairo," said Essam Alsheekhhamid.
It can also be found at Cardiff's Riverside Market every Sunday morning, when Essam and his wife Dalal, pictured below, set out their food stall heady with aromas reminiscent of holidays in Egypt, Jordan and other Middle Eastern destinations.
