Saudi Arabia's General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) has awarded seven new contracts to boost the ongoing development and expansion works of King Abdul Aziz International Airport in Jeddah.
The contracts are meant mainly for site preparation work for the ambitious expansion of the airport, which is being implemented in three phases.
Four new terminal buildings, a high-speed rail link and a capacity for up to 80 million passengers a year are among the targets proposed for the new Jeddah international airport.
