At least eight power companies have evinced interest in setting up 1,320 MW (2x660) thermal plant near Rajpura in Patiala, Punjab.
The eight companies are NTPC, Reliance Power, L&T Power, Welspun Urja India, Essar Power, Dalmia Cement (Bharat), GMR Energy and Adani Power.
Earlier, Nabha Power, a subsidiary of Punjab State Electricity Board, had received only one bid from Lanco Infratech. But, as per the guidelines of the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC), the LoI could not be issued to the company. In ...
