Nokia Oyj, the world s biggest maker of mobile phones, plans to sell a laptop with a 10-inch display that runs Microsoft Corp. s Windows to compete with personal-computer makers such as Apple Inc. and Dell Inc.

Nokia will introduce an aluminum unit with software to link to other Nokia devices and services, the Espoo, Finland- based company said in an e-mailed statement today. Nokia didn t disclose the price or shipping schedule for the computer, which is called the Nokia Booklet 3G.
