Medicis reports FDA clearance of its Restylane dermal filler

Move over collagen, here comes Restylane.
Less than a month after garnering a positive recommendation for Restylane from the General and Plastic Surgery Devices Advisory Panel of the FDA, Medicis Pharmaceuticals (Scottsdale, Arkansas) received word late Friday that the agency has cleared the dermal filler for U.S. commercialization, according to Jonah Shacknai, chairman and chief executive officer of Medicis.
