The extended forecast for Rochester Public Utilities shows sunny days with little wind.
That's because solar, not wind, seems to be the preferred source of renewable energy for the utility company in the future, according to a draft infrastructure plan presented to the public utilities board last month. The board is expected to vote Tuesday on the updated version of the plan, which is described as a guideline.
