Sematech, research group award grant to RIT
ALBANY -- Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester is receiving a $550,000 grant from Sematech and the Research Foundation of the State University of New York.
Sematech is the computer chip research consortium based at the University at Albany's College of Nanoscale Science and Engineering. The Research Foundation administers grant-funded research projects at state schools.
The money will go to the microsystems engineering program at the Kate Gleason College of Engineering at RIT to help develop the next generation of lithography technology used to print circuits onto computer chips.
