ADDISON - The bagpiper in a red T-shirt, bluejeans shorts and fishermen sandals blows into the blowpipe and grasps his tartan bag with a practiced hand.
A solemn melody drones and the notes float from the chanter over farmland overlooking the Rock River.
It might not be the Scottish moors, but it's a dream come true for a piper with a German heritage and a Highlands heart.
The pipes called Darrell Schroeter for a quarter of a century before he got his first set.
