Food courses

offered at TCEDC

The Taos County Economic Development Corp.'s food center is having a free week-long course for people interested in an economic opportunity in the food sector.

The course will instruct people about taking a food business through all the federal and state requirements for food production. The course will be offered Oct. 5-9. Space is limited to 25 participants.

TCEDC is also offering a course covering all five methods of food preservation, canning, pickling and raw fermentation, jams and jellies, freezing and dehydration. The cost is $50 per person and includes all materials.
