"In the title compound, [Mn(C7H5O3)(2)(C14H12N2)(H2O)]center dot-C14H12N2 center dot H2O, the Mn-II ion is coordinated by a bidentate 2,9-dimethyl-1,10-phenanthroline (dmphen) ligand, two monodentate 3-hydroxybenzoate anions (3-HBA) and one water molecule in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal environment," scientists writing in the journal Acta Crystallographica Section E - Structure Reports Online report.
