French systems company CS has partnered with Ineo, a division of the GDF Suez energy giant, to apply to be the architect in the French Army's Scorpion program, a 10-billion euro ($14.3 billion) drive to modernize command-and-control networks in the armored vehicle fleet.
"Yes, we submitted our offer with Ineo" before the July 31 deadline, said Arnaud Salomon, CS sales and business development director. CS, formerly known as Compagnie de Signaux, and Ineo are co-prime contractors under the application, with CS as the mandate holder and administrator for the group, Salomon said.
