Electricity transmission grid company ITC Holdings Corp (NYSE:ITC) declared on Tuesday that the company has entered into an expression of interest with NorthWestern Energy (NYSE:NWE) to collaborate on development of ITC's seven-state Green Power Express transmission project, the value of which is estimated at approximately USD10bn to USD12bn. The partnership will support the 3,000 mile, 765 kilovolt (kV) electrical system that will facilitate the flow of up to 12,000 megawatts (MW) of renewable energy.
