Churchland's recycling residents have no doubt noticed the recycling bins that sat near the Cedar Lane fire station are gone. The city's General Services Department told me the bins were removed because hazardous materials were being discarded there. Churchlanders who want to recycle must now take items to the Broad Street fire station in Port Norfolk. I'm told the bins will be returned, though a date is unknown. I guess this is another case of a few bad apples ruining something for everyone else.
