The dinosaurs are re-emerging to wreak havoc on Northeast Ohio's industrial real estate market. While "dinosaur was the term realty insiders used for the big single-use factories of 500,000 square feet or more that were shed by manufacturers during the 1980s recession, it similarly can be used to describe today's available industrial behemoths, many of which are larger than what most contemporary users want.
With Chrysler scheduled to close the Twinsburg stamping plant in 2010, another monster is headed for the market: a 2 million-square-foot complex on 165 acres in northeast Summit County.
